Product description
L5AWM. Lancer set out to engineer a better 5.56 magazine; one with the reliability of steel, durability of polymer and weight of aluminum – the L5AWM. The magazine design includes a one piece, wrap-around steel feed lip assembly and an aggressive surface texture to create the ultimate hybrid magazine tough enough for military, LE and commercial use. The internal geometry of the Advanced Warfighter Magazine is a constant curve to maximize feed to the 5.56X45mm NATO round with a non‐tilting follower for trouble‐free feeding. The body and component materials are corrosion and chemical resistant, passing military chemical testing, including exposure to DEET.
The L5AWM is compatible with modern weapon systems, including M4/M16/AR, SCAR16, HK416, ARX160, etc.

— Show original2 of the Lancers were not reliably locked to UP. 1 piece worked well. Otherwise are very reliable, of good quality, but due to locking problems only 1 star. The Insecure Lancers locked up and worked flawlessly in Daniel Defense.OK

H & K's corresponding "glass box" with plastic feed lips
broke down the second time the cartridge was attached,
when the slide was locked at the back. The second feed lip cracked
whereby the cartridges exited through the core outlet to the fabric.

If the magazine is pushed in somehow at the wrong angle when the slide is in front of the magazine it will lock but not feed and no bolt catch will catch.
Doesn’t seem to help even if you beat the drawer deeper if you’ve gone to put it at the wrong angle. Also, don't drop free loose then. — Show originalWorks flawlessly and does not break feed lips when there are steel inserts.Brand
