Compatibility with Lynx provides great option for conversion to general mountaineering use.

A pretty good compromise if you're mostly on neve and ice with limited mixed ground. Extra surface area compared to something like darts or lynxes makes a world of difference in stability. Secondary front points are a lot shorter than the darts, so not really the best for WI3+
