Good news for all of those on the lookout for a convenient, waterproof bag to transport their belongings: the proven ORTLIEB “bike trunk” is now available with a Velcro roll closure! The closure of the Trunk-Bag RC also serves as a convenient carrying handle.
The waterproof Trunk-Bag RC Urban combines stylish elegance with on-the-go convenience. Thanks to the Top-Lock adapter, initial installation is done in a jiffy, and during use, attaching and detaching the bags from the luggage rack is child's play due to the unlocking handles on both sides. The Top-Lock adapter will fit most luggage racks and can accommodate rack widths of 80 to 160 millimeters, a tube diameters between 8 to 16 millimeters.
The Trunk-bag sports a 12 liter volume and can carry loads up to 10 kilos / 22 lbs, all of which will stay dry and protected thanks to the roll closure, which also functions as a handle when closed. The bag is therefore suitable for both small grocery runs and longer bike tours alike.
The inside pocket with key hook ensures order inside the bag, even if the terrain gets a little bumpy. When you make a stop, the Trunk-Bag can easily and conveniently be carried by its shoulder strap.
The trunk bag RC Urban is PVC-free and, of course, sustainably made in Germany.

Little bit heavy (of course I knew it before I bought it, but...) When the bag is full packed and you want to close it. Now I had to use external straps Missing a "good" possibility to attach e.g. Garmin Varian to the bag or a good rear light. You can "hang" stuff on the bag Carrying the bag when itsnt on the bike, could had be done different I had bought it anyway. Works perfect with Ortlieb Quick Rack and its very easy to attach and remove from the rack (super plus)

— Show originalA bag to be placed on the bike's rear rack. Has worked well for me. You can fit your daily snacks there and you don't have to carry them on your back. The bag in question is also good in that sense, as it can also be adjusted in width to fit the rear pannier that I have on the bike, i.e. not completely straight from the sides but curved, narrows as you go towards the saddle. Ease of use also comes with easy installation and removal from the stand. I took the bike 100 km to the first service and since the bag also has a shoulder strap, it can be carried on the shoulder like a bag. The bag has a place on the back where you can attach the taillight battery, which is a good addition. The only minus that I have come across is that if for some reason more stuff comes along, the bag can't be closed properly and then if it rains water gets inside, the bag is waterproof anyway.| Overall rating |

Great product, easy to adapt and fix to the rack. I was worried it would be small but pleasantly surprised. I can even fit a 14" work laptop inside. It was sent fast and arrived rapidly as well.
Difficult to set up the clamp distance. Mine fell off my bike after a bounce from a pothole (and it was very tightly clamped). Closing velcro system is not very reliable when you have a full bag. I’m back to the side bag (rear pannier).
