The large L size protects a larger area than the smaller M model. I tried the similar product (in a brick-and-mortar store) in the L and M models and the fit is the same in both on a 59 cm head. The only difference is the size of the glasses, so I chose the L size. Please note that if the helmet fits in such a way that the forehead is closer to the eyes, the L model can press on the nose. In that case, choose the M size. If the shape of the helmet is such that large glasses can fit in, I think L is the choice. Just tested on an alpine trip. The lens is perfect for variable weather. I could see perfectly well in sunny, partly cloudy and cloudy weather. Of course, there are certain shadowy spots and snowy spots where you can't see, but my friends couldn't see in those spots with any other glasses. These are suitable for a light-sensitive person in almost any weather. If you are not light-sensitive, you can get by with a lens that transmits a little more light.
