The Devold won't be much of a second skin; although size M fits me well, it's a bit loose in the lumbar region. It doesn't overheat or get cold when outdoors or in a warm building, even though you're wearing a uniform. When I stopped after the march, it was chilly in the lumbar region, so a base layer would be useful. It's very comfortable to wear and doesn't restrict movement. It's pleasant to the touch.

I tried the product on a wilderness hike where the temperature dropped to -30 degrees Celsius. It worked well and a thinner shirt wouldn't have done as well.
