Used for one winter for touring skating. They are light and comfortable to carry with you when skating. At first, the lightness made me wonder if the pole would withstand repeated testing of ice thickness. It has lasted and worked well!

I ordered Lundhags Striim size 132cm ice poles to use on my 40 acre lake in Pennsylvania. I was using regular ski poles for balance on ruff ice, or skating in snow when I couldn't see the cracks that like to snag my blades. I am so glad I found Ice skating poles! This is my first pair and I couldn't be happier with this product! I was not sure about what size to get. I am a 5'6" tall women. All the sizing charts I read recommended at least 135cm but I really like these 132cm Lundhags Striims. I am happy I didn't go bigger. I like the padding on the shaft, it lets me comfortably hold lower down when I'm not using the poles, but have them at my sides, just in case. The handles are great when I do use them to push around. They both work for testing the ice, but I like having the heavy one, it spears the ice easily. It only takes me 4 or 5 good wacks to make sure the ice is thick enough. I wasn't sure how it would be having one heavy pole and one lighter one, but to be honest I am having so much fun skating that I don't even notice it. I even took time to try switching them from hand to hand to see if I would notice, but a minute into skating I forgot all about the weight difference. The ski poles I was using are heavier then these, so they both feel light to me. My arms don't get tired or anything like that. Also they clip together easily. It is nice that they stay together as one when I am skating with them but not actually using them. I can skate with my phone taking videos in one hand and the poles in the other. These poles have saved me a couple times, both from falling on those silly cracks that grab my blades, and from thin ice I found while poking around this spring. I would recommend these poles for anyone looking for a first pair of ice skating poles, but not sure what to buy. These have worked great for me!

Streams have been used on four trips now. Worked well and the rods are easy to get together. Quite a lot of others have the same ones, so I marked mine with stickers so they stand out :)

It would be good if the handle had a better design, so that it stays more firmly in the hand when pushing. Good basic poles for touring skating, however.
