The aerosol bottle is easy to use. It does its job and works. It's worth saturating it in the summer so you can put your shoes outside to dry, the smell is that strong.

The Salomons have been sprayed with this substance and at least for now they seem to repel water well. There has been no snow or rain that has caused the socks to get wet. Of course, we have stayed away from swampy areas and have not specifically gone to cross rivers :)

I don't have a lot of experience with sprays. I treated my shoes with this and the first coat still let the moisture through a little too quickly. After the second coat, the waterproofing was better.
