Always on the run? Feel free to leave your phone and wallet behind. Forerunner 645 features the Garmin Pay Ready contactless payment method1, which lets you pay for purchases with your watch. Use it just about anywhere you can tap your card to pay. A bottle of water here, a bite to eat there — just pay, and keep on moving.
We’re making it easier to get the data you need to improve your form. Let Forerunner 645 measure crucial running metrics that you can use to analyse your performance. Biomechanical measurements, such as cadence, stride length, ground contact time and balance, vertical oscillation and vertical ratio are the key to understanding your form so you can bring your best on race day. These metrics are available with the addition of a compatible heart rate strap or the compact Running Dynamics Pod, which clips right onto your waistband. Also, take advantage of feature sets to help with cycling and even swim training. In the pool, Forerunner 645 will track your distance, pace, stroke count and more.
Just how effective is your current training plan? Forerunner 645 will help you monitor your training and recovery so you can better prepare for a race or training cycle. Training status is a new performance monitoring tool that automatically evaluates your recent exercise history and performance indicators to let you know if you’re training productively, peaking or overreaching. The new anaerobic training effect metric opens a window of insight to a critical dimension of training, telling you how your training is improving your ability to push the limits. You can even view your overall training load, which measures your exercise volume from the last 7 days and compares it to the optimal range for your fitness and recent training history.

Plus
Comfortable and light on the wrist. The menus are logical and work quickly. Sturdy buttons. Includes the latest features of Firstbeat, which is why the clock is working. At least this kind of basic fitness will get nice tricks and rats for training from the measurements (Training Effect, recovery time, stress level, training status, training load, VO2max, etc.). Works well with the Polar H7 heart rate belt. To find the belt is usually automatic, sometimes you have to connect manually before starting the exercise. In training mode, you can turn on the display light automatically when you watch the clock. The battery life is sufficient and the device charges really fast. If you darken your training data on your computer a couple of times a week, you don't really need to do the actual download (5h workouts a week). GPS is accurate.
Cons
Sleep recording seems inaccurate and the device does not register a nap at all. A small man's wrist. The connector cable is not standard USB but Garmin's. In addition, the cord is rigid and very short. The Garmin Connect app is somehow Kömö. Yes, the data can be found, but the program is outdated in appearance and a bit awkward to use. At least Huawei Honor 7 Lite phone with recurring problems in the gloom. With the computer, gloom goes smoothly. No heart rate data recording when swimming without a Garmin Swim heart rate belt.
