Walkabout BUGrip GTX® has everything required from a good winter shoe. A waterproof GORE-TEX® membrane, 16 BUGrip studs that provide fantastic grip on both ice and asphalt and easy BOA® lacing that ensures the shoes fit perfectly.
Walkabout with its thought-out details is the perfect all-round shoe for winter. It has a slightly higher shaft that keeps snow and slush away. It is stable and comfortable and has a wide fitting – all to allow you to walk as far as you want. The BOA lacing also ensures that the shoes are easy to put on and take off.
With the BUGrip studs under the sole, you have the world’s best grip for snow and ice, and you don’t need to worry about slipping on ice patches in winter. As the studs are made of carbide steel, you can also walk for miles on asphalt without worrying about the studs wearing out.

We purchased a pair of Icebug Metro2 BUGrip Mens and a pair of Icebug Walkabout BUGrip GTX Womens. The boots were received just in time to try them out after a winter storm hit on the Maine, US seacoast. If you are looking for reliable yet comfortable boots for navigating snow and ice this is the brand to get. Both my wife and I love these boots. Our regular rubber soled boots, while fine for rain and fluffy snow, were no match when the snow was wet and heavy or when ice sets in. The traction on ice of the Icebug boots is amazing.

Great boots, very light and easy to put on. The weather has changed a lot, and it's difficult to walk on icy patches but the icebug boots make it so easy with their studs, and it's great for the snow too. I am not affraid to go out with these boots. The only con: I would've prefer for them to be a little larger at the toes.

— Show originalI took my own size 38 and the shoe fits really well. Supports the ankle and has been wonderfully relaxed to walk with dogs when not having to stiffen for fear of falling. Big puddle I also walked on water and keep 100%. They also feel warm and the foot is not frozen. BOA mounting is easy and quick to put on with one hand. It took a while before I realized how to open them 😅 (pull the knob outwards)

The hike was in a challenging trail, we walked a little over a mile several that had no icebugs fell but I had no problems. Have also hiked on regular winter roads without any problems, In other words very satisfiedBrand
