Advice people to not buy anything produced by Lowa. Extremely poor quality. Went on 2 walks in town and the shoes are ready to be thrown away already. After looking around online I found this to be a standard problem. Comment section of a YouTube review for example where this same problem seems to be a result of a design flaw. As I said... Do NOT buy these shoes. Don't waste your money.

Sturdy and light shoes. Compared to Lowa's Z-8S GTX shoe, the sole of this Zephyr is softer rubber, which is a bit more flexible, but the biggest difference comes in freezing weather, when the Zephyr sole is more grippy, both in terms of the rubber compound and the patterning. The Zephyrs are also lighter and thinner, so not quite as sturdy as the Z-8S, but sturdy enough for me. Due to the lighter construction, they are not as warm as others.

Great shoes. Hasn't driven even hundreds of kilometers on gravel roads and off-road in the back. I recommend!

After wearing out a pair of Meindl Desert Fox boots that had served me well for many years, I was thinking about my options for buying another pair. However, I still had memories of the lengthy break-in routine that I endured to get comfortable in them. My daughter suggested I try some Lowa boots as she had found her Lowa's to be extremely comfortable and they did not need breaking-in. I decided to take a chance, and bought a pair of Zephyr GTX® Hi TF boots. When they arrived - they became my most comfortable boots within minutes of taking them out of the box... The next day I took them for a 2km walk to begin breaking them in. The boots didn't need it, they moulded to my feet and felt like a slipper within 200 meters. A week after my Lowa's arrived, I took a three day hunting trip in mixed terrain, including hills, hard rocky ground, sand and mud. My boots remained comfortable regardless of the terrain - and they are the quietest boots I have hunted in. The Lowa lacing system is remarkably straightforward. I was initially concerned I would not be able to strap my heel into the boot as snuggly as could with my Meindl's, which accommodated a range of lacing & locking options. I need not have worried, my Lowa Zephyr GTX boots achieved the same snug fitting result. I chose the high boot over the mid option only because I live in Australia and hunt in areas where there are highly venomous snakes. Otherwise the mid boot option would have provided all the support I needed and it would have been a cooler boot during our hot summers. I have yet to experience some really hot days to compare breathability of the Lowas to the Meindls - I suspect my old Meindl's will be more breathable, as they did not have a Gore-Tex membrane... Both boots have excellent build quality, the Meindls seem to be heavier duty. Perhaps my new Lowa Zephyr GTX boots will not breathe as well or last as long as my old Meindl Desert Fox boots , but the incredible comfort and quietness of my the Lowa Zephyr GTX boots have made them a favourite for me.

Sturdy but light ankle boots. Comfortable on the feet, suitably padded. They "roll" well when walking

Really light in proportion to the size. Very comfortable on the feet and the grip of the sole on e.g. wet rock is unimaginably good.

A familiar product with which the töppön moves from one place to another with a smile.

Actually, the only insole that fits your foot perfectly is from Lowa. Durable, light and rarely, reasonably breathable. Despite its lightness, it supports the ankle well, so I can't find a negative even by looking. The quality has remained really high for years and there are no complaints about the new ones either.
