Product description

Wilderness unlimited. A true wilderness expedition is a project in long-distance organisation. You'll appreciate a pack that understands the challenge ahead.

The Xenith 105 is our true workhorse of backpacking packs, it was bred to organise and carry your gear across Earth's remotest regions. The dual side-zips and lower base compartment provide multiple access points to the main body of your pack.

We know what a 25+kg load feels like. To make this load more manageable we've invested all our expertise and experience into creating the best large-load bearing backsystem ever. The customizable Bioform™ CM hipbelt supports and distributes the weight of the pack in an even and comfortable way, while the torso adjustable BioForm™ harness with NeoSpacer™ mesh and AirScape™ backpanel provide both ventilation and comfort.

Our unique Stow-on-the-Go™ feature allows you to attach your Trekking Poles to the pack quickly and easily without removing it. The Powermesh pockets on the front and sides of the pack are great for storing anything you can cram into them, designed to access water bottles on the go.

The dual hipbelt pockets provide instant access to essentials like Energy Bars, Sun-Cream or Compact Camera.

The Xenith 105 incorporates everything we've learned over the last 40 years about building durable, comfortable and intuitive expedition packs.

In Europe, this pack is supplied with a standard lid, rather than a DayLid.

Preliminary assessment: I think the Osprey backpacks are good, so this one, although very little experience (5km / 15kg load). The weight vs. volume of the bag is good.

High quality market. Lightweight in size. Good adjustments. This price should include decent rain cover, but it should be sought and purchased separately. Osprey own is not the sustainability of the acclaimed, Savottaan I'm leaning. There is one in the family already.

There is space and there seems to be a strong act for even larger loads. The storage space of the drinking bottle is cleverly implemented, the fastening buckle is only damn tight if there is more stuff in the backpack. There could be more external anchor points for CDs.

Not much has been used yet, but the first experiences are good. Comfortable on the back and the goods are well accessible through many zipper openings. One minus star for plastic parts like a rimpula. You’d think this size class backpack has decent locks and tensioners but no. I was already in touch with Osprey to see if I could get spare locks and tensioners for a longer trip. I contacted Ospreyeurope.com and sent spare clamps for free

For a few years, I had time to change the backpack from a tubular frame back to a rosna. This summer, Savotta was left in the second warehouse in 50 warehouses and an L-size Xenith with a capacity of 109 liters had to be acquired. Stunning carrier. Feels confusingly comfortable and light to carry, even with a heavy load (approx. 29 kg). The free tube goes nicely into the side pocket, the tent arches and wedges to the other side. The tent, kettle, food and clothes fit nicely in a backpack bag that can be divided into two parts with the help of a midsole. Pikkusälä runs nicely in a two-part cover. It’s hard to come up with anything bad to say about this product.

Been in use for half a year (Xenith 105), and anything you want to take (and a little extra) can fit in. The weight has been + 20kg, and thanks to good adjustment possibilities, the weight is not felt anywhere. The lower compartment can accommodate a sleeping pad, tent, sleeping bag and backpack rain cover. The filling of the beverage compartment is well designed so that it is possible without opening and emptying the backpack, as in Fjellu backpacks, for example, where its place is inside. Thermoplastic hip pads work as they should. Lots of pockets and openings to access the contents, so you don’t always have to open the whole backpack, and that’s a good thing. And for rods and others, there are good places ready. And this, when empty, weighs much less than many other backpacks. So I am very satisfied.
