A lightweight shoe for everyday use all year round. In the summer, it is quite sturdy and not hot, in the winter, except for the hardest frosts, it works well down to -5C or even -10C if you have warm wool socks on your feet. The grip of the Vibram sole is excellent even in the cold in winter. Meindl Siena is similar and a little softer on the foot, I know because I used 1 shoe to the end. The sole wore out in several places. However, Siena is really slippery in the winter, the grip of the sole is weak. That's why I recommend this Caracas instead, it stays upright.

Quality leather trail shoes with a good sole. As others have noted, it is a fairly tight fit around the toe, so am wearing thin merino socks. There is the option of removing the well-padded liner and having something thinner. The break-in period was effortless. Recommend these shoes-they also look understated, so a restaurant in the evening will be fine!
