The socks work well. Thin enough for my feet, which usually sweat/stay very warm. I used them in a 70km ski race (Ylläs-Levi) and was happy with them. I haven't used them with other socks as a so-called double sock. Durability remains to be seen, but expectations are high, Bridgedales have generally held up well.| Overall rating |
As a barefoot lover, I wear these as regular socks in the winter or in cooler summer weather, as they have room to spread my toes. The elastic doesn't leave marks. You can wash them at 40 degrees on delicates, so they go with your regular laundry. I've been using these for years and they last a good 1-2 years and none of them have worn down to the point of holes, but they do fade, especially on the soles, where the wool flakes off.
