As a barefoot lover, I wear these as regular socks in the winter or in cooler summer weather, as they have room to spread my toes. The elastic doesn't leave marks. You can wash them at 40 degrees on delicates, so they go with your regular laundry. I've been using these for years and they last a good 1-2 years and none of them have worn down to the point of holes, but they do fade, especially on the soles, where the wool flakes off.

Good socks, although perhaps not the best I've experienced in terms of moisture transfer. They sprout too quickly. I have two pairs of similar socks bought some years ago and they are still in good condition after more than 100 washes.
