Keeping children cool when they're outdoors is key, that's why the Ace 50 has an AirScape™ backpanel with foam ridges for ventilation. It also has a LightWire™ frame and internal compression to ensure the fit is fine tuned to your child no matter how the Ace is packed. The integrated raincover means that even out in the rain their pack and contents are easily protected. The Ace 50 is suitable for ages 10-16 years.

The backpack has been used on two occasions: on a 2-night trip and on another for 6 nights. The backpack is spacious and quite lightweight. The load adjusts well and stays close to the back. The ventilation system in its support allows for breathability. The hip belt adjusts very well to the proper position (my son is 143 cm tall), and his shoulders don’t suffer. The different heights adjust easily. My son is currently using the lowest position, so I believe he will have this backpack for several years. A few negatives: the divider inside the backpack cannot be removed as it is sewn on one side. It doesn’t have a side opening (which I knew before buying the backpack, of course), but it would have been very useful. We make do by using different dry bags to organize the contents. 50 liters is sufficient for his age, but if you have to carry everything—Trangia, food, tent, and so on—the volume gets tight. However, in our case, the limit is more about weight than volume. I think it’s a very suitable backpack for multi-day outings; the weight will be well distributed, and the fabrics seem quite durable.

My son loves his backpack. Super comfortable and spacious, well-thought design. Highly recommend. We tested it on the Appalachian Trail.
