I got through a week of field training without any break-in period, suffering only a few hot spots, but there were no issues at all by the end of the week. In warm weather, the importance of good socks is even greater when wearing Gore-Tex.

The shoes are good. They support the foot and absorb shocks well, but the soles of the shoes start to chip and tear at the seams after about 6 months of use. Otherwise, a great shoe.

Excellent fit and good rolling when walking. Been on many marches. The sole also has good grip when wet and the shoes support the ankle. The membrane works well and water does not stay on the surface of the shoes but drains away just the same. The best of the "maihars" so far.

Really good shoes. Doesn't weigh anything down, the high sole softens, insulates and improves walking. Fits right in, doesn't weigh anything down and supports the foot unlike many similar ones.
