Light, but warm shoes. You can manage up to -5°C easily with a thin sock, no experience with colder yet, but I don't doubt that it would be fine in Finland in the winter pretty much anytime. The laces require a bit of getting used to, because the shoes do not have lace locks in the lower part of the shaft, typical of hiking shoes. Knots at the ends of the straps help prevent the straps from escaping through the loops.

Compared to the previous model I used, the development of the shoe has now gone backwards: wobbly and clumsy, insufficient tightening of the metatarsal which causes movement of the foot/heel and a seam on the inside of the shoe in the middle of the heel like sugar on the sole and a nasty rubbing feeling, especially when going uphill! The previous model I used had a Gore-tex membrane and a more flexible ankle part. The reason I changed the previous model was that I tripped over the strap buckles a few times and one buckle came off. The only plus for the shoe is the heat retention. Suitable for standing in the cold; not for hiking. (Salomon Nytro GTX was my previous model)

The first really warm winter shoes, in which you can walk without worries with ordinary sports socks in -20 degrees below zero. In general, the physical size is quite large, apparently due to insulation. If you come up with something negative, it takes a while to wear, so they are not very quick to wear.

When moving, you'll still be warm up to about -20 °C with a thinner sock, you'll need a thicker one in colder weather. If you would like to use thicker wool socks, you should increase the size to 42 2/3 -> at least 1/3 bigger. The break point presses a little on the toes and feels a little hard at first, and the durability of the seam makes me wonder, but you will see that with time. The material of the laces is a bit slippery and sometimes they open on their own, the lace loops do not tighten and lock when tightening the lace like Jalas' ball-curved ones.
However, the warmest winter shoes so far based on a couple of months of use.

Great shoes. In general, my feet are always cold, but I haven't developed the ability to do so.
I originally went to the store to buy Sorel's Caribout. However, they were left on the shelf because they were too loose for me.
These are suitable for walking even longer distances and will do well, e.g. with children on pulkkamäki also managed well.
No regrets even though there was a price 😊

Very comfortable and warm winter shoe, with one merino wool sock it did well at -20C in the forest. The size that suits me is the next larger number than the normal shoe size, so that there is room for a thicker sock if necessary, but the shoe is very tight and works even with one sock.

Absolutely the best winter shoes you've ever owned. So far, it has been used at -25 below zero, at least in those temperatures my feet have stayed very warm even with very thin socks.
Normally, Salomon's shoes are size 39 1/3, but these size 40 are just right. I warmly recommend it to everyone else who suffers from easily frostbitten toes.

Warmest boots what I have ever worn. Only negative side, is that if you want to tie shoelaces with double loops that they wont open during hiking.

I took a size smaller than the size chart, but still a little bigger than normal. Normally a 38, I took a 38 2/3. A very sturdy shoe. When fitting, it even felt a little too hard at the ankle, but after a few kilometers of test runs, it was no longer felt. I didn't try any huddling, just a basic forest run. The only thing I would like is a quick lock for the laces, which at least some of Salomon's shorter arms have had. There's probably a reason why these aren't there, though.

If you life in the northern hemisphere these boots are fantastic. Incredibly warm. I use them if I know that I will have stand around in cold. But find them a little too warm for high energy use.

At first they were really stiff, but after a short walk they started to soften.
I originally bought these to warm my easily frostbitten toes and they are truly superior. I'll probably have to buy another slightly cooler pair of shoes for the little ones, I think these Salomon are HOT!

I started to wear these boots and black 5-7 days the fastener for the lace came off. Boots are excellent, warm and made of very high quality material. That's just the fastening for the lace is not strong.

Boots are excellent, very warm and offer great stability on snow and uneven ground.

Used a few times now for outdoor activities and in the forest. The weather is not quite freezing yet. Feels sturdy, but still light enough. rolls very nicely. The laces have a reasonable tightening option separately at the ankle/instep. The bottom must be kept at least wet. While waiting for harder frosts.

With just over a couple of weeks of experience, I can say that the shoes are really comfortable and warm. The frost was at its hardest -25C and there were no problems with my feet freezing and my own feet were freezing really easily. I've done a few walks in my shoes and they work really well there too. And they certainly work with the fatbike and snowshoes that made them I originally bought them.
Experience with the same shoe from a previous version. I bought sometime at the beginning of the millennium, so it has been used in winter for about 20 years now. I just changed the laces to rougher ones intended for hiking shoes because of the slipperiness. The shoes are still very nice and still as warm as ever. The only thing that stands out due to wear is the wear of the fabric on the inside of the heel of the other shoe, which should be replaced, because sometimes it rubs when you've been on the move for several hours.
I accidentally bought it on offer back then for around €40. The price-quality ratio was probably the best I've ever gotten with any product. If they disintegrate before me, it won't be sought after by others of the same kind, which will then be left for the heirs to fight =)
