Good quality and suitable grip on the bottom. The base is thick enough that the stones don't poke through, but thin enough to be light. The size is a bit big & wide, I have a slightly wide foot table, but it still feels spacious. I normally wear size 43 shoes, here the size 41-42 felt a little too big. One star minus the lack of size options.

The idea and materials in this product are good, but the Size Chart is now scaled too high in my opinion. My feet are size 43½, but skinners size 43-45 are unhelpfully too loose. When I put my toes all the way to the tip, there is approx. 1cm of empty space on the heel side. This will make your socks roll, but not in a good way. It's worth ordering a size smaller, because these will probably stretch, but they're unlikely to shrink at least.

I am very satisfied with the skinners 2.0.
I was able to try them in different types of walks/hikes (forest, road, rocks, thorns, river). The sharp thorns can pass and some stones are surprising under the sole of the foot.
I greatly appreciate the feeling of being in socks but still protected.
The small insole is welcome 👍🏻
Feeling the relief of the ground, the temperature and maintaining the flexibility of the foot suits me perfectly!
It is recommended to use them gradually because other muscles are working. Indeed, the front of the leg is well solicited.
I have already recommended them to everyone! 😉

I got my fourth skinners, the first 2.0 versions. The sole still wears very quickly. A few hundred kilometers with the previous versions, in these 2.0 versions already after 50 kilometers there is clear wear. A new insole may be suitable for some, for your foot better without. The last is too wide, in the older ones the fit was much better for my big 45/46 feet. By the way, Skinners are very comfortable on the feet, and especially for summer jogging paths, bare foot footwear is very pleasant. It's just going to be expensive because they wear out so quickly.

I haven't had time to run with these yet, but the new model looks good. The model does seem to be a bit wider than the previous version. I was a little skeptical about the insoles that came with it, but they also seemed to work and didn’t interfere with the “sock feel”. However, they can be easily taken away. In my old Skinners socks, I have sometimes used pieces cut from old shoe insoles under the treads under the treads if I have run on bike paths impregnated with sand gravel. In their own footsteps, the Skinners have worked almost in any weather and have also acted as a "work shoe" in office work. In the office, however, these are also good to take off at the work station because they are a bit sweaty during the working day like any other shoe. I’m still waiting for a model with walking features from Skinners socks and a stylish walking shoe “shell” with laces on top.

My first skinners. Bought them as inside shoes but I felt too warm with them. Would like to use them for outdoors. A bit unfortunate they are not suitable for concrete, as they will ware out fast. Also, the design is challenging to walk in the city- as they look like socks. But otherwise feel more barefoot than other barefoot shoes I’ve tried.

These 2.0 versions come with a thin insole, but the sock is very cool with the insole. I tried the bigger size (m) first, but it was so long on the toes that I had to change to a smaller one. The S-size is good for my 42-size foot - as long as I take the insole off. Without the insole, it looks good.
