I bought the product based on a test in the M&K magazine (8/2023). All 308win silencers in the test reduced the sound measured at the ear by 21-28db (1st shot). The Freyr 231 dampened 25db, so based on the test, the manufacturer's claim for a superior attenuation-to-weight ratio is true. The most powerful dampers in the test, Stalon XE149 and Jaki Titan Power, weigh at least twice as much and are longer and thicker. The Freyr 231 has a cone design and is 41mm thick when measured from the muzzle, which means it reduces the field of view of the scope less than any other suppressor. In practice on the track and in top flight, I found that the Freyr dampens very well and also effectively removes recoil. Doesn't loosen when shooting on the range like my previous silencer Ase Utra radien. If there is something negative to look for, I think the painted surface material is not as good as the ceracote coating of many other silencers.
