Based on one fall and winter, a well-functioning device for a small vertical ear. Deer and dachshunds may run out of range, but they must have a larger T5 transmitter.
The downside comes from the silly screen lock typical of Garmin (exactly the same problem with the Garmin Edge bike meter, for example, if it's used as a locator when walking). That is, when the screen is locked and touched, the device beeps and displays the message "screen locked ...". The end result is that when you march in the woods in your Garmin pocket, it screams like a fire alarm for a bit of a lock when the jacket fabric hits the screen appropriately. Sometimes I prefer to carry this without locking the screen, but then again the device starts to wander through the menus again, and once the maps disappeared because I found the right menu at home when I looked at it ("map clarity"). Do they never learn to do anything about that feature? Do they have no tester using these devices in the field? Why not get that alarm sound off? Or can you?
But in general, a great device, the location can be found quickly after booting, and the functions are apart from the above. A good addition is that the dog transmitter and handset can be purchased separately if needed. I am satisfied with the purchase.

Otherwise a very good device for my purpose, but the collar stopped working at less than a year old. It is currently under maintenance and the fault is being investigated. At start-up the dog was not positioned correctly and again At start-up I was no longer allowed to start.
