I use these with kayaking shoes. Sometimes you have to wade when leaving or going ashore. I only take one actual shoe with me on canoeing trips and there are only Crocs or similar for the camp. Comfortable to put on waterproof socks when you go to explore the island with wet shoes. Positive experience. Durability'm skeptical but at this point this is not to take a stand.

Always those Gore-Tex shoes don’t hold water especially if water happens to come in from the crow and that’s why I bought such socks as a test. I don't think these are suitable for everyday use now, but it's ok in bad weather / terrain, but not suitable for me if I have to travel long distances at the same time.

I have so far tested once by running a 45 min. +2 degrees, up to the ankles in ponds, wet paths and swamp. The sock kept out of the water. At first I thought it was leaking through, but it was due to the cold when I stepped into the cold water. The toes were dry after the run. The sock may be a little stiff and the cut at the tip isn’t quite perfect, but it didn’t interfere with the run as long as it’s not too small in size and doesn’t run in tight shoes. After the run, I rinsed the socks from the outside and were quite fit in the closet after that. With these socks, you can go on a trail trip, where you should not otherwise go.
