Super comfortable shoe with 2 pairs of socks. Limit for winter use, I wear heated insoles. Optimal foot and ankle support.

An evaluation is requested now, but this product is the kind of product that needs to be kept for a year to give a complete evaluation. I went to the store to try on several shoes from the same manufacturer. And shorter versions etc. Medium and these fit my foot best. The leather has remained good with the help of wax. Even though I died in that snowstorm. Only 50 kilometers. I like merino wool socks in these. The thing seems to be working, the feet have not been frostbitten. In these, the base is rigid. Not any shopping shoes, although they are nice. Yes, these credit shoes are. The calf leather is stiff enough, but good on the feet.

Top shoe. The commissioning phase takes a few tens of kilometers, but as long as the leather has softened a little, it feels great on the feet. Regular greasing is important.

My size is 42, I took a size 43 and it fits well right away. I believe that you won't need to buy new hiking shoes for years.

Really sturdy and high-quality shoes. Now just running in, but already after approx. 20 kilometers the shoe has molded to the foot well. Holds water when wading in streams, or standing in puddles, even if the water line is well over half the stem. In winter, good grip in frost and protective snow and also warm. A surprisingly rolling shoe to walk in and good insoles. I have waxed the shoes after each use with Lundhags' own shoe wax. 5/5 product

Didn't need any "running in" like the previous single layer Lundhags. Nothing to criticize at this point.

Really good and durable hiking shoes. Worn a few times and nothing to complain about.

There is enough height in the stem and the water stayed outside when walking in a wet swamp. In addition to greasing, I had sealed the joint between the leather handle and the rubber blade with tar based on a tip I found online. The feet are always sweating, and there are enough pads in these 3-layer shoes that the drying of the shoe is clearly slower than the 1-shell Lundhags. This should be taken into account if you use shoes in conditions where there are no heat sources for drying.

For more than 25 years, I have used various hiking boots with a Goretex membrane. In my "professional" use, membrane shoes have started to leak after about a couple of years. When I switched to using two pairs of membrane shoes, so that today my own pair and tomorrow my own pair, the age of the membrane shoes increased, because they had time to dry properly from the previous use. These shoes are lighter to walk in than similar long-toed membrane shoes. The ankle part is so snappy that you can tighten the shoes tightly with the laces. Not a "loose" leg. I leave plenty of room in the foot part itself and the tactic of two socks works really well. They dry quickly. They haven't let a single stem of water through when I've impregnated them with wax. Time will tell about durability in "professional use". Based on the short user experience, a good purchase.

I have never had such perfect boots (and I have used various Meindl, Hanwag etc.). For Scandinavian conditions these are by far the best boots you can get. Extremely comfortable, durable, stiff enough for carrying a heavy backpack and easy to maintain. But the best: they are really sustainable as the do not have a Gore-tex membrane that will loose waterproofness after a few hundred kilometers, so you can use Lundhags boots for ever! Perfect service by varuste.

Very sturdy and durable shoes. Good grip on different platforms. Supports the ankle with a very heavy load. Resistant to water as long as the grease is fine.

The best hiking boots I've bought. I bought these in September for a trip to Norway. They work very well when driving a +3 degree on a motorcycle and when hiking in the rocky terrain of Senja. The two-sock tactic works and these didn’t need any run-in for me. I walked on the treadmill for twenty kilns but it fits on my feet right at the beginning better than any hiking boots I bought before. So far, I’ve always bought GTX shoes but Lundhags completely changed my mind. I recommend hiking. Hiking in the rocky terrain and peaks of Norway. I also recommend if there is a need to combine motorcycling and hiking / climbing. These survive on a single shoe and do not require driving shoes and hiking shoes separately.

Brilliant quality, they broke in fast, two pairs of socks are defiantly required. a big boot so heavier than the lower cuts but the extra protection and support is your trade off, your legs will get use to them. so far ive noticed them waterproof all the way up, for short dips in streams and did extremely well in very wet bog, very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend

I haven’t properly put on my shoes yet and already feel really comfortable on my feet. I recommend investing in socks to keep your feet dry and warm. The size of the shoe should be a little fairer, because then you can easily choose even thicker socks depending on the weather. The shoe itself feels really high quality and durable. I can really recommend.

I bought the shoes according to the size charts of the manufacturer without seeing the shoes, and the size was right for itself, the last is wide enough, even though it has a wide foot. At first, the shoes felt really stiff, but the more you walk with them, the more comfortable they start to feel. The downside could be that the seams on the inside of the shoe feel pretty clear, but that too can be due to the shape of your own foot. But even that feature is not noticed after the shoes have been on the foot for a while.

Really cool hiking boots. Went to be serviced as soon as new, but service was fast (5 days). If the shoes last for even ten years, which I certainly doubt, are the top purchase. Edit: About a year spent and the shoes went to Sweden. The rubber part is made of too soft rubber, which causes a blister-making wrinkle just right on the big toe. Change the rubber bottom to a stiffer free of charge. Edit: New bottoms and soles replaced, now doesn’t make blisters on the big toe, but the soles are deadly slippery on snow. It is not a big problem if wet grip is found when it is used mainly from spring to autumn, although this will only become clear in spring. Due to problems, I drop from 5 stars to 3 stars. A shoe in this price range, which is advertised as adapting to the weather as well as to the weather, should also work in the snow and be repaired twice a year, also with a few drops of stars. The second repair just hit the hiking spots so I had to take the other shoes on the trip Edit: shoes repaired after a couple of months and return to Sweden for repair. Bonding with the inside of the leather is attached to the inner material ariaprene-deceived. The right side of the shoe feels after a couple of kilometers lonksuvan wildly wear. It starts to feel like these shoes are long lasting every couple of months due to the need to rebuild. It could be that you hit a Monday song, a hut purchase, and an expensive one anyway.

They felt like a different pair of shoes. Insoles bad. By comparison, I tried Syncro 2 and they were just damn good. Should be the same shoe is not.

The run-in was made in about 70km short sections. Preliminary assessment therefore: ADVANTAGES: Stiffness / stability. May feel too stiff / press somewhere, but adapts to the foot when warmed up. Ludden grease can soften the skin if desired. Step attenuation is excellent. The grip of the sole is good. The stem is high if you are looking for one. The ankle can be tied tight so that the foot does not run to the tip on a steep downhill slope. The wide last leaves room for the foot. Good replaceable felt insole. The boots probably dry faster than the film shoe. CONS: Price. The shoes need to wear 2 socks, so you can get hot if you wear them in the summer. Shoes with better walking ergonomics can certainly be found on a lighter end. QUESTIONS FOR SURVIVING ON LONG HIKES: Waterproofing. These are not rubber boots, but there is no membrane shoe. The loops of the shoelaces are riveted through, do they leak from these points? Shoes should be treated with wax or grease to make the arm waterproof to some level ok. Spare socks + insoles according to the trip. Durability of the base material? For yourself, grip is more important than wear resistance. Sturdy shoes for real action also off the beaten track.

This is an initial review having only used the boots for a few short walks of under 2 hours. My impressions - they feel light (see the actual specs for their weight), which is good. The shaft is very stiff, felt somewhat like an ankle brace, which made me think the boots could take some time to break in - but that was not the case. The boots were very comfortable as soon as I started using them, though it might take some getting used to their regidity. Lundhags recommend wearing two socks with shell boots and this works very well. I normally wear a size 43 but ordered the 44 boot following the manufacture’s recommendations. The boots are spacious and should be comfortable even on wider feet. Moisture will build up inside the boot with continuous use, strenuous hiking/trekking, so taking a high-absorbency cloth to dry the inside and a second pair of insoles would be my suggestion on multi-day excursions. Also, good socks x2. The boots appear well-made and very sturdy, I’m confident they will last many years - depending on use. The reason I gave them 4 rather than 5 stars is the price - these are some of the most expensive high boots on the market and when you compare to other brands like Alfa, Viking or Crispi (who also make taller boots), I am not convinced of a +/- €100 premium. If you find them on sale - then I would highly recommend them!

My first shell shoes. Fairly stiff, but softens somewhat in use. The legs remained dry even after standing in the water for long periods of time. In the membranes, my feet wanted to get wet, or how well I cared.

Very good quality shoes, durable and comfortable to wear. Field tested in wet weather, river crossings, rocky terrain, forest, these are hiking boots for those who don't want to compromise on the feet. Shoes for long hikes in autonomy, in nature off the beaten track. At the top, to see in the duration and the years of use.

At first a really stiff shoe, softens a bit in use but does not become soft. Really good quality. At this point it has become waded in snow and water, no leaking and there has been no film to miss even standing in the water over the ankles so the feet dry. They dry easily overnight even if the leather is wet as long as you take the insoles out and bring the shoes warm.
