Multi-purpose compact ascender. The BASIC is a compact ascender that offers excellent grip for rope ascents. The lower attachment hole is large enough to hold the carabiners for the lanyard and the footloop.
• Compact ascender with excellent grip
• Can be used for rope ascent on a fixed line or as
progress capture in a hauling system
• Toothed cam with self-cleaning slot optimizes
performance under any conditions (e.g. frozen or
dirty ropes)
• Stainless steel cam has better resistance to
corrosion
• Lower attachment hole large enough for two
carabiners (lanyard and foot loop)
• Upper connection hole for guiding the rope.
Material(s): aluminum for the frame, stainless steel
for the cam, nylon for the trigger.

Hyvä turva soolokiipeilyyn ehkä.
Hyvin tarraa ja erittäin helppo liu'uttaa eteenpäin, mutta peruuttaminen ei ole yhtä helppoa kuin petzl shuntilla, sillä terävien hampaiden takia leuka on saatava täysin irti köydestä. Vetopiste on köysilinjalla eli kuormittaminen ei vedä basiciä ja köyttä vinoon toisin kuin shuntissa, jos sillä nyt jotain väliä on... Älä hanki tätä jos tarvitset peruutusvaihdetta, tällä mennään helposti ainoastaan ylöspäin ja sitten avataan ja otetaan kokonaan irti köydestä.

My rating is more for the store. This place sold me a Petzl basic for 55 USD INCLUDING SHIPPING!! Usually these things are 85 bucks here in the US. The shipping was super fast. This came from Finland faster than plenty of items I’ve ordered that are shipped from the states. So this store is awesome. Will look to them going forward for more gear.
