Åsnes X-Skin Nylon

X-Skin is produced in 100% Nylon from Colltex in Switzerland. This short skin can be used on all Åsnes skis with a skin insert. The skin is made of Nylon for optimal durability and grip. Nylon skins are excellent suited for wet and heavy snow. If you want a better performance from skin we advise you to impregnate the skins, which will provide a better glide.

Short skins from Åsnes are delivered in a practical bag customized for climbing skins, which can be attached to your backpack or belt. The bag has perforated fabric on the bottom, which ensures that the skin dries and the water flows out of the bag.

Åsnes short skin is equipped with a skin-protector in front to avoid ice/snow filling the skin and to secure the skin on long distances.

30 mm: This width is recommended for narrow models like Mountain Race and Mountain Touring skis.
45 mm: Perfect for the Amundsen, Nansen, Cecilie, Liv, Gamme 54, Finnmark 54, and Sondre skis – but is well suited to all Åsnes skis.
58 mm: Perfect for the Ingstad, Tonje, Breidablikk, Kongsvold, Falketind 62 and Rabb 68 skis.

Maintenance and storage
To retain the quality of skins as long as possible, we recommend to always keep the skins clean, immediately dry them after usage, and apply skin glue and impregnation periodically. Additionally, store the skins is the accompanying bag.
