I carried out a lot of research prior to buying this rack. It has been purchased for a titanium bike without lugs, so I bought the fitting kit to fit it to the bike. Fitting the kit is a little tricky (I'm a retired engineer with a lot of tools) mostly because of the quality of the materials used, they are quite hard to cut to size etc. I'm sure you would have no problem if you have lugs and don't need the kit. Once I had the kit fitted, fitting the rack was very simple and now it is a very fast mount and dismount system. This will be used in ultra distance gravel events as an alternative to the Tailfin product, which is ridiculously expensive. I will use it with a dry bag and straps. I like the fact that I can quickly dismount the rack with the bag attached for night stops etc. I also have some Ortlieb gravel panniers from before and I will be using these on the rack too, they fit perfectly and I'll use these for shopping.
