Used it already on heavy rain and snow, and not a single drop of water/snow got through it or inside. Good visibility on the sides when using the hood with perfect adjustability. I always use L size, if I wanted it to fit me right i'd buy M, but I wanted to have layers on the inside, such as fleece and down jacket, and the L size fits right with that, could probably fit one more layer, so I ordered as expected.
