Petzl offers weights specifically designed for technical mountaineering, ice climbing, and dry tooling ice axes. These weights are strategically placed on each side of the pick. Their placement enhances the balance of the ice axe during strikes, resulting in more precise placements on hard ice. The weight's shape is optimized for efficiently slotting the pick into cracks. Additionally, these weights are removable, providing the flexibility to adjust the technical aspects and overall weight of the ice axe according to the requirements of the route.
