Made in Germany from high quality Nubuck leather uppers, these boots provide protection for your feet and are durable on all types of terrain. The classic leather lining mean the boots are incredibly breathable with a feel of quality craftsmanship. Technical features of the boot include; a Digafix lacing system to provide an extra secure fit for your heel, a Memory Foam System (MFS) compression zone around the ankle to reduce pressure when walking downhill, a Meindl Multigriff Vibram sole for excellent traction and shock absorption, and an Air-Active footbed to control moisture levels. Categorised B by Meindl, this walking boot is supportive yet supple. The breathability of the leather lining makes the Borneo 2 MFS particularly ideal for hill-walking in dry climates.

Prima site! Ik had mijn voeten opgemeten en het advies was om een maat groter te bestellen dus i.p.v. 39 maat 40 besteld. Helaas moest ik de Meindl Borneo bergschoenen alsnog terug zenden omdat ze een maat te klein waren, dus moest eigenlijk maat 41 hebben. Wat jammer is dat ik ze niet kon ruilen omdat ik in een ander land woon.
Heel degelijke schoenen. Mooie kleur. Tijd nodig om in te lopen. Blaarvorming door scherpere rand aan de hiel.

Kengät muotoutui sisäänajon aikana jalkaan nopeasti suurempia ongelmia aiheuttamatta. Nahka on helppo puhdistaa ja hoitaa. Pohjat valitettavasti kului jo yhden talven aikana yhtä paljon kuin vanhat kovempipohjaiset 15 vuodessa, eli pohjamateriaali on turhan pehmeä.

Tuntuvat tukevilta ja mukavilta. Täytyy jostain etsiä kenkien hoitoaine, ehkä pyydän naapuriapua poimimaan matkojensa varrelta, kaupasta. Edelliset, muutaman kymmenen vuotta kestäneet yllättivät: toisen kengän pohja oli haljennut vaakatasossa. En ihan tarpeeksi käyttänyt - ja hoitanut: en muutamaan vuoteen käynyt niin vakavasti marjoja keräämässä, metsästä.
