A climbing brush allows the climber to clean the holds of accumulated chalk and dirt. The hold brush is an essential safety accessory for outdoor climbers, as all sorts of friction-reducing material accumulates and grows on the rock. For outdoor climbing, we recommend boar bristle brushes, which clean effectively and gently without polishing the rock.
