The Savotta gear bag—nothing but praise for it. When the world ends, all that will remain are cockroaches and Savotta bags. Utilitarian and simple. The price reflects the fact that its lifespan is virtually eternal; effectively, the cost of ownership is next to nothing.

The quality is excellent; I certainly won't need to buy another bag like this. The proportions are spot-on, and although the bag feels compact, it holds a surprisingly large amount of gear. It works perfectly as a bag for work, the gym, or travel. For everyday use, I appreciate the clean look—free of unnecessary PALS webbing and the like. The zipper design, which allows the pocket to open fully, works great; you can actually see what’s inside. It’s hard to find a use for the Velcro pocket on the other side—it fits a notebook or a book, but not much else. Overall, it’s an excellent bag that will surely withstand years of normal use.

A comfortable sized and durable bag for a variety of trips. You can attach velcro-fastened pouches to the inside of the lid and side pocket, and you can use the same technology to attach identification tags to the two outer sides. The shoulder strap could have padding - I got a suitable padding from Varusteleka (the strap width is 40mm), but that too is too slippery against an outdoor jacket.

No complaints after a few months of use. The side pocket is excellent and the carrying handles are handy + the metal parts are high quality. It's also a good move from Savota to leave the backpack straps as a separate product, because not many people need them in a bag like this. Also fits in a flight bag
