I am thrilled to share my review of these hiking poles. They are lightweight, allowing for easy maneuvering and minimal strain on your arms during long treks. They pack seamlessly into my hiking backpack, making them an excellent choice for those who prioritize efficiency and convenience. These poles are designed with the lightweight hiker in mind, who values speed and agility on the trail. However, they are not without their drawbacks. Unfortunately, some issues from previous models have not been addressed by Black Diamond (BD). If you are a light hiker and carry minimal gear, I would highly recommend these poles. Their light weight and compact design make them a great companion for your adventures. However, if you tend to hike with heavier gear, you might find these poles lacking in durability. In that case, I suggest trying the aluminum model, which I believe offers greater sturdiness and longevity. In conclusion, these poles are a solid choice for light hikers seeking efficiency, but might not withstand the demands of heavier trekking. I will be providing a long-term review after using them on some of the extended hikes I have planned for next year. Stay tuned for more insights!

Good to train arms in hills before the ski season. Bought 125cm at 183cm, but could have been 130cm as the straps can be lengthened for a lower hold.

In use, a good and light pole for ultra distances. Compared to the previous generation model of the same product line, however, the overall quality (at least in my pair) is weaker: 1) at first the locking button tends to slide back into the frame and the locking of the rod to the full length fails in the middle of use, 2) after longer use (for me approx. 300 km) the buttons got stuck inside the rod body, i.e. they could no longer be unlocked without careful tapping with tools and 3) because unlocking it is difficult, I kept it at full length for longer periods of time. As a result, some of the joints got stuck so that I can no longer fold the poles together. IF I still used these rods, I would be oiling the moving parts paranoidally often. In practice, I ended up trying a competing brand.

Nice product and fast delivery
Rubber paws should be included for asphalt walking. It wasn't.
We didn't get the colors we ordered. We ordered the shiny turquoise blue ones, but the ugly, not shiny ones came. That's what I'm most disappointed about.
We had to wait two months for the rods to be delivered, even though they were supposed to come in less than a month.
