Saimaa SUP Moon 11.8 SUP package

Saimaa SUP Moon 11.8 (355x76x15cm / 11.6” x 30 x 6”, 327L, 9.5kg) is a super-sliding travel board, which is one of the flagship models of the Saimaa series. The board is made with the best and most durable materials (Fusion PVC), which allows for up to 25psi of pressure. The package is crowned with a light and stiff carbon fiber shaft paddle and a quick-lock fin (no loose/lost parts!) and of course a three-year warranty.

If stand-up paddleboarding means more to you than just lounging on your home beach, the Saimaa SUP Moon is a true paddler's dream. However, the board is stable enough even for a beginner paddler, as the board is 76cm wide. For comparison, the most popular competition boards are 60-66cm wide. Based on customer feedback, we have added additional rubber bands to the back of the board, so that even larger travel gear can be carried.

The Moon's design takes into account the most important features for glide: The board has a long waterline, a sharp bow and a rectangular stern. The long waterline gives the board directional stability, the sharp bow breaks waves and the rectangular stern reduces wake and helps with directional stability, so you can take several strokes per side before the board starts to turn and you have to change sides.

When you add to these features a lightweight and stiff carbon fiber paddle that fits in your hand and a quick-attach tool-free fin, it is clear that the Moon 11.8 is the fastest board in the Saimaa series. A true hard-core enthusiast will pump an additional 25psi of pressure into the board, which will bring the frame stiffness closer to hard-frame boards and the scenery will change even more sharply even in the heaviest waves. However, it is worth remembering that the stiff and strong Fusion material works great with just 15psi of pressure. Thanks to the fin box that folds in the middle, the board is easy to roll into a backpack. Maximum load capacity 140kg.
