They were really good for my feet. I've used Hoka slippers before, but I got tired of the soles not being able to withstand small sharp stones. Salomon soles seem durable and the cushioning is suitably sensitive.

I absolutely love the Salomon S/Lab Genesis! They provide amazing grip in the forest - whether it’s dirt, roots, or rocks, the traction feels incredibly secure. Running downhill feels controlled and stable, which gives me a lot of confidence on technical sections. I love racing in these shoes. They feel light and fast, but at the same time very secure. The fit is perfect - they sit ideally on my feet, with great lockdown and no discomfort even on longer runs. No rubbing, no pressure points, just a precise and comfortable fit. An excellent choice for trail runners who want confidence, performance, and comfort on challenging terrain.

Excellent shoe for trail running. Agile, but at the same time very cushioning.

Very versatile trail shoes : short distances, muddy or dry trail...The genesis does it all. I feel like the sole is "fragile" because rocks mark it easily .

Now it's time to give an assessment, after using these for a few hundred kilometers in different conditions. The best thing about the shoes is the fit and cushioning. At first, the split arch rubbed, but I changed to a different type of insole that doesn't rise up at the arch of the foot. Now they fit like a glove. Very comfortable on the foot and I haven't had any problems even on longer runs or in challenging terrain. You can "lock" your foot well into the shoe and your foot doesn't get crushed even when running in the forest. When running on the road, the cushioning is very pleasant, which allows for long road sections. Another plus is the weight of the shoe and the fact that it doesn't add much weight when it gets wet. The materials also seem durable and the sole studs and upper material haven't worn out even worse. If you're looking for something negative, the grip on wet trails is noticeably worse than with VJ shoes. Of course, the VJ sole material wears out faster. I bought these shoes as long-distance shoes for variable terrain (rogaining, trail running) and they fit perfectly.
