Bought after trying a friend's pair. Wide & comfortable. Boa laces are nice to use. The tread tends to get small pieces of gravel stuck in it, but they are easily removed thanks to the flexible sole.

These barefoot shoes are comfortable to wear and feature a slightly thicker sole. The sole provides good grip even on damp, polished surfaces. The tightening mechanism and the sufficiently spacious last are great features. I bought these shoes for motorcycle trips because they are lightweight and pack down smaller than regular sneakers.

Really comfortable and I quickly got used to the barefoot shoes. They are the first of their kind for me.

The best in my opinion. I have used three pairs of the previous Vapor models. Now I finally have that Boa adjustment on the shoes and its great. Thank you.

I have worn vapor glove 5/6 shoes exclusively for work/everyday use for over 2 years. The laces on merrell's shoes have always been a low point for me and if single knotted, reliably come untied, sometimes more than once a day. I am a cyclist so I am familiar with the boa lacing system. I hoped that these shoes would be the same construction as the laced version, but with the upgraded boa system. Unfortunately, this is not true, and the tongue of the shoe is removed in favor of a stiffer upper "leather" like construction that folds over past the halfway mark so that the boa can "lace" up the side of the shoe instead of the center. It appears that they have also reinforced the the lower sole as well as it feels thicker than the laced vapor glove 6. I am planning on wearing these until the sole is paper thin again due to the $50 premium over the laced version, so I hope they wear in well.

Incredibly comfortable. The size according to the size chart was suitable (i.e. I measured my feet and the ordered size fit well). They breathe surprisingly well, easy to put on and the Boa tightening makes life easy, for example at the cottage when you are constantly trotting in and out. I was surprised that the shoes are not as "sporty" looking as I imagined from the pictures, but they make up for that lack with comfort.

Just the right thickness of the sole for an everyday shoe, and the Boa lacing completes the good fit. The size has changed at some point in these and I had to get one size larger than the first generation Vapor Glove.
