Very useful, but a bit difficult to put away in the case.

A good combo with the extension arm. Good for forest trips, fishing trips and travel jobs. Some of the tips are useless to me, but I combined everything I needed into one plate. One plate fits in the XL Molle Nylon case with the Wave plus (with pocket clip) and the tips extension arm.

The bitkit adds functionality to a Leatherman. All bits you might need are there e.g. flat, philips, pozidriv, allen etc. Even square bits, which you will most likely never use. With this addition you have a whole screwdriver set with you. Not too heavy either, because the bits are flatter than regular bits. That doesn't seem to affect their function, though.

Good selection of replacement tips. It's worth looking for and buying a case that can hold these and the actual Leatherman at the same time. Otherwise, there's not much joy in these

An absolute must-have. The only downside is that Leatherman's nylon cases are very cramped. You can barely squeeze two BitKit discs into the Surge case. Of course, it also fits a ratchet wrench and the smallest Maglite flashlight on the sides. SS
