The shoe feels quite similar to Meindl's older Tacana GTX model. The Gore-tex membranes in them lasted their time, but hiking boots are not rubber boots, even though they are said to be "forever durable". When the shoes get really wet, it is difficult to "gently" dry them during a trip. I got the sole glue of my older shoes to "dissolve" and crack with too much waxing at the seam. You have to be more careful with these now. The worst thing for hiking boots is probably too little use (the leather dries out) and improper care of the shoes. However, the stiff sole of the shoes, the protection for the feet and ankles, and the support for the ankles allow for more carefree steps on rocky rocks and rootlets, and I rarely choose lighter shoes instead when moving around in the countryside.

Very good and high-quality hiking shoes. The previous similar ones were in heavy hiking use for 10 years, before water started coming in from the seam. I knew immediately that I would buy new similar ones. Suitable for day trips to long hiking trips. I can warmly recommend it

Works both in the Alps and in Finnish forests. The stem should be a little longer so it doesn't collect all the trash from the forest.

Shoes finally up to my expectations (and I searched for a long time) between Salomon canvas shoes that wear out quickly and Lowa leather shoes that leak when walking in the morning dew and I did nothing about it... In short, disappointed every time... 😒 Thank you

Previously had a pair of Meindl boots. Very good and comfortable shoes to hike and walk in. I ordered another pair because of the good quality.
