The Grünten is a classic and timeless boot. Its mid-cut uppers have a soft leather cuff that make it ideal for both everyday use and easy hikes.

A true classic. The hiking boot in the traditional way and style! Very sturdy and tough boot. Can last many years but it needs a long breaking in period. True to size. Very thick leather and not comparable to hanwags yak leather. Water proof when waxed. I have used it perhaps 40 km and it is still giving me blisters if I don't switch on occasion. I plan on using these in the Alps and for the Malerweg. I can highly recommend these to anybody who wants the best.

The shoes are really high quality and sturdy, they need a good break-in period to soften and adapt to the foot, but after walking on a few forest trips, the shoes feel really good. A relatively expensive product, at least for my wallet, but the price is completely justified, the quality is felt and seen. They also look great, and can also be used as everyday shoes with a leather boot if necessary. With good care, these will make long-term companions for hikes and adventures. Very well made boot, ideal for moderate bushwalking.

Only bad thing is that I can’t wear them in the summer as they will be too hot. Awesome boot, third hanwag pair.
