The most comfortable boots, I've ever worn. Tremendous grip and support. They were ready to hike from the get-go and I'm sure they will last for many years to come... I treated the boots with Hanwag shoe wax straight away to help protect the leather, this process does alter the colour of the boot, which may bother some people, but I was quite happy with the results. Finally I chose the leather-lined version for longevity, along with some Sealskinz socks for the wet days. Very happy with the purchase so far.

Very sturdy, and a bit stiff for a first-time user.
The wider last worked great for me.
After a quick warm-up and some rain, I'd say it keeps water out even without a membrane.

These boots are the only ones that fit my feet well, though I haven't tried the bunion boots yet. I am a woman, but I get the Men's Tatra Wide and they are great!.

— Show originalAfter 3 months and a couple of hundred kilometers in the forests and fells, I can say that these will go a long way. Leather care with the right wax, and relentless hard riding! Never again any membrane shoes, thank you! These breathe and support. They stay tight excellently.
