The women's model has a good fit around the hips and the shoulder straps can be adjusted to your needs. I especially like the feature where the shoulder straps can be hidden, which makes it really easy to lift the backpack onto the overhead rack on an airplane, for example, and you don't have to adjust the straps in any direction.

Good model for a backpack, things are easily displayed. The only downside is that I would like more pockets. The "strap protector" that wraps around the bottom of the backpack is pretty useless, as is the reinforcement inside, which just adds weight.

The backpack is spacious and feels good to carry. The waist strap supports and takes the weight off your shoulders. The interior is easy to pack neatly and systematically. The only downside is that the backpack doesn't have any pockets on the side for a water bottle.

In many ways, a great backpack, I would give it 4.5 stars if I could - this is not perfect. The pluses include that the main compartment can be opened completely from the top, which makes both packing and finding things very easy; the separate laptop pocket and a small (but spacious) zipper pocket at the top of the bag also work; good compression straps, the hip belt is excellent when the backpack is heavily packed, which means it is comfortable and easy to carry. The minuses are mainly cosmetic; the backpack is quite heavy when empty, which means if the weight limit for hand luggage is, for example, 5 kg, the bag alone takes up 1.5 kg. I would also miss larger/more flexible outer pockets, like in my smaller Osprey Nebula, it is difficult to even fit a water bottle in this backpack. Despite these, I am very happy with the purchase.

I wanted a travel backpack that I could use for a trip of less than a week with just hand luggage. Tested, works!!! Fits a lot of stuff. Absolutely great fit on the back, comfortable to carry. The straps can be conveniently hidden when lifted onto the "hat rack" on a plane/train, the straps don't get stuck anywhere. I thought for a long time whether to get the Fairview 40 or 55 model, I ended up with the 40 because of the small pockets on the outside. But this model has a stupid/useless laptop "flap"/-"pocket" inside the backpack. In that sense, the 55 would have been better, I think it has a separate zipper pocket for the laptop on the side of the backpack.
