I don't think the XL size backpack rain cover is worth its name. I have a normal 80L tube backpack, which is clearly too small to protect. But for a backpack of the right size, it's definitely a waterproof product and is easy to stuff back into its small pouch.

Really good and light

The Osprey Ultralight Raincover in black is a fantastic upgrade over the standard neon green cover that comes with the bag. I prefer the black color because it looks more premium and fits my style much better. Beyond the aesthetic improvement, it also has a few functional upgrades that make a big difference. This version comes with straps and adjustable drawstrings, allowing for a snug, secure fit over my pack, which is great for keeping it in place even in windy conditions. It also has a convenient hook, so there’s no worry about accidentally losing it on the trail. Overall, it’s a well-designed, durable, and stylish rain cover that adds a lot more value compared to the free one. Highly recommend for anyone looking for both form and function!
