When you're counting every ounce but you know the value of a truly comfortable pack, the Exos was developed just for you. Reach for the Exos 48 for the perfect mid-size ultralight, with plenty of room to put in the miles, but not so much that you're tempted to overpack. Highly experienced backpackers will appreciate industry-leading comfort and ventilation—without the weight it often adds—making it the perfect pack for ultralight multiday adventures. For those who really need a svelte carry, the removable floating lid makes way for an integrated FlapJacket that keeps your minimal gear contained in its stead. Ospreys refined AirSpeed suspension keeps you cool with maximum airflow between you and your pack, so each mile stays as comfortable as the last. Made with 100% recycled materials.

The approximate size of the packed product or the sales package is 370 x 720 x 150 mm.
At first it feels like a bigger backpack than it is. I think it is mostly due to how tall it is and its rigid backpanel won't let you compress it. Using it without the brain (it has a perfecty functional built-in backup, minus any zippered pockets), it feels much truer to it's size. Side pockets have slits for easier access to water bottles without having to take off your pack, but might pose a risk to lose smaller objects placed there. Hip belt tightens when pulled across. Arm loops are a bit of a pain to put on even when fully extended, but sit very comfortably, once on. The main draw of having good ventilation actually works (even if at first it doesnt feel like it, because your clothes are still pressed against your back). No pressure points or chafing during a full day hike. Will test as carry on bag for longer and hotter trip, but for now would buy again.

The quality is there, the volume is a real 48L. I was surprised at how much space there was compared to my 45L from another brand.
With its weight, settings and ergonomics I don't feel it on my back.
In the top.
