Really good pants, these were fine in the cold weather last winter. The bottoms were even so warm that when it was -25, I was wearing just jeans (no long underwear) so it got a little too warm when walking around town. Related to the above: the pants have drawstrings on the inner thighs that help to keep you cool. Otherwise, adjustments have been thought out; the legs can be opened almost to the knee with the drawstring, so it's possible to put the pants on and take them off without taking your shoes off. In addition, the pants have tightening loops at the waist, so you don't necessarily need a belt - I ended up wearing suspenders myself because the pants are too long for me without them (and the one size smaller was too small).

I've been wearing this all winter in Beijing; it's incredibly warm and windproof. The inner pockets and other areas are slightly pilled, and some wool is showing.

Excellent pants and really warm. At -15 degrees below zero you don't need anything under these, at -25 you can wear underwear underneath and jog comfortably. Normally I would have bought XL size and of these L size was suitable for me. My measurements: 184/93 The downside is that the fabric rustles a little and suspenders could be a good addition to these.

These are excellent pants. Warm without wearing anything bigger underneath and since I got the right size, you can put a couple of layers in between and you can even throw them on directly over your daypacks. If you're like that, you'll need suspenders. Highly recommend these.

Well stitched and threaded pants. Matching size for the Large MIG jacket I have. Thoughtfully placed pockets and reinforcements along the knee and ankle areas. Lots of areas to adjust the fit. Very warm. Much like the MIG jacket, highly recommend!
