In collaboration with Aclima

Norwegian Aclima has been a pioneer in high-quality wool clothing since 1939. As a family business, Aclima has built a strong reputation especially as a developer of merino wool garments – the products are designed for demanding conditions such as hiking, hunting, winter sports, and intense physical activity. Aclima’s collections are known for their innovation, and for example, WoolNet products have achieved iconic status in the world of technical base layers. All designs utilize the natural properties of wool to ensure the end result is as functional and comfortable as possible.

Aclima WoolNet – the leading product in technical base layers

Aclima’s most famous and respected base layer series is WoolNet, which combines regular merino wool knit with highly breathable mesh merino wool material. In WoolNet, mesh merino is placed in areas requiring ventilation, creating small air pockets directly against the skin. These pockets provide warmth during breaks and ventilate efficiently during movement, keeping body temperature stable and skin drier.

For areas that require better insulation or increased durability, thicker and stronger merino wool fabric is used. This way, WoolNet offers an ideal combination of breathability, warmth, and durability in all conditions.

WoolNet Original
Aclima’s original merino wool mesh base layer, designed for maximum moisture transfer and temperature regulation. Works year-round under shell clothing or on its own. Best suited for winter trekking, skiing, hunting, hiking, and intense outdoor activities.

WoolNet: 80% merino wool, 20% polyamide
Fabric: 96% merino wool, 4% elastane
Weight: 120 g/m², 250 g/m²

WoolNet Light

WoolNet Light is the lightest and most breathable version in the series, made from 100% merino wool. It is designed for warm conditions and high-intensity activities such as running, cycling, and summer hiking. The mesh knit creates air pockets during breaks and releases excess heat during movement, offering an exceptionally light and dry feel.

WoolNet: 100% merino wool
Fabric: 100% merino wool
Weight: 90 g/m², Single Jersey 140 g/m²

WoolNet Hybrid

WoolNet Hybrid combines merino wool mesh in areas where more temperature regulation is needed and thicker WarmWool fabric in areas that require extra warmth and durability. The hybrid solution offers an optimal balance between breathability and insulation – this is the trusted choice of many hikers and hunters, especially in cold weather and on long treks.

WarmWool: 100% merino wool
WoolNet: 80% merino wool, 20% polyamide
Fabric: 96% merino wool, 4% elastane

Sustainability at the core of Aclima’s operations

Ethics and transparency are central values for Aclima. The company emphasizes responsibility throughout the supply chain and uses only merino wool from farms where animal welfare is strictly ensured. The origin of the wool is traceable, and Aclima collaborates with certified merino farms, for example, in New Zealand.

Production mainly takes place at Aclima’s own factory in Estonia, ensuring strict control over the manufacturing process. The company uses Oeko-TEX® Standard 100 certified materials and responsible packaging solutions, such as FSC-certified paper and bio-based plastics.
