Military use: Good shoes for cool and cold climates, not suitable for seasons above 20 degrees Celsius. They have good grip on sandy and rocky surfaces, grass, and hard-packed dirt, but are slightly slippery on smoother, wetter surfaces. Not suitable for urban surfaces.
The wide fit is excellent, but the ankle support could be improved with padding. The lacing should have at least two or three metal loops on the top, as fabric loops are not as effective.| Overall rating |
These shoes are really thé max! They fit (if you buy the right size) yet are roomy (for your toes), they BITE into almost any surface, giving you a grip that is second to none, and they are super-light and flexible whilst at the same time providing all the protection you need. I bought 6 pairs of them, which I hope will last me until they day I stop walking (my shoes last VERY long since I walk correctly). And they look real nice, especially for barefoot shoes. What else can one hope for in a shoe?
Good shoes for light hiking and even for everyday use.

I've been walking in these for about 3 months now through the winter. The thick sole is durable and has quite good grip. With impregnation spray, they are completely waterproof even in a 5 cm deep puddle. They don't breathe very well though, so they are hot indoors. (as they have a membrane, that was to be expected).
