For storing a larger amount of water. The substance itself is probably effective and functional, because silver has probably been used for centuries for this purpose. Dosing is a little tricky, because I have a storage container of 60 l and the smallest dosage size is 100 l single dose. There is no convenient way to dose the right amount. A different product from the same manufacturer is used to preserve the liter class.
