I own the one with the goretex proshell membrane and I was surprised when the properties disappeared. It does keep water out, but it doesn't work as it should. I treated it with this cleaner according to the instructions and the jacket is like new again. Just remember to wash the crap off with tech wash first.

It saturates quite poorly, even a small and short rain comes through. I didn't notice any difference in breathability compared to the impregnated product.
