The PEAK6 is a lightweight, durable kite designed for serious adventurers tackling frozen lakes, mountain ranges, and high-altitude expeditions. The kite offers responsive handling, smooth steering, efficient depower, and superior stability, making it perfect for refining kite control. Key improvements in the PEAK6 include enhanced stability under low line tension, optimized steering while depowered, and consistent pull during loops. The design now features a shorter bridle, a simplified mixer for easier handling, and a Performance Tuner for custom adjustments. The profiles have been fine-tuned, and the construction reinforced for greater durability.

Technical changes

Short Bridle and Mixer to decrease drag and improve the B-Safe System

Weight savings are always a plus, but reducing line drag gives you more power and improved light wind capabilities. The shorter bridle lines prevent the B-Safe lines from tangling and aid in reactivating the kite after release or parking using the B-Safe system.

Performance Tuner

You can easily change the profile camber to increase or decrease bar forces. Use the standard setting for snowkiting, adjust toward the kite for foiling, and set it on the lowest option for teaching and increased bar forces.

Fine-tuned profiles

Usability, sublime handling, and trustworthy power deployment are key to trusting your kite in extreme alpine conditions. Especially in steep terrain, you need a reliable pull while ascending with a kite. Therefore, we fine-tuned every aspect to keep the power consistent.

Reinforced construction

Thanks to feedback from the PEAK fan base, we reinforced several details in the construction to extend the lifespan as long as possible. We focused on high-stress areas affected by flapping and integrated our new attachment points, which were recently introduced by the VMG³.

Comparison to PEAK5

Snowkiting and teaching

The PEAK⁶ simply shines with user-friendliness, increased stability, and highly reliable power deployment. We have improved the B-Safe System and ensured the kite lasts as long as possible without sacrificing performance. PEAK users will feel at home from the first moment and love the great bar feel.

Foiling

Similar to its predecessor, the PEAK⁶ will be used by foilers. Even though the terrible (almost non-existent) water relaunch of single-skin foils is a significant downside, the new version performs better in direct comparison.

Comparison to Hybrid

The HYBRID is a playful, easy-to-use kite for those looking for a casual experience, teaching newcomers, and kite-foiling on waves with ease. The PEAK focuses on high-performance, adventurous activities in extreme conditions like steep terrain.

The PEAK⁶ excels in usability and safety, responding to steering commands faster to keep you in full control. Steering remains smooth and effortless even when depowered, providing superior handling, especially in low wind conditions. The exceptional power-to-depower ratio continues to be a standout feature, delivering consistent and accessible power. B-Safe ensures safety by gathering the kite on a fifth line. The PEAK⁶ is a compact, ultra-light, highly specialized kite perfect for beginners to experts, and it offers excellent value for money!

Touring

Thanks to the PEAK⁶‘s minimal pack size and ultra-lightweight design, multiple kites can be packed effortlessly. Its excellent light wind handling and resistance to back stalls make uphill rides a breeze. The PEAK⁶‘s reliable depower and optional B-Safe system ensure you‘re prepared for emergencies, self-landing, or safe breaks. Whether heading uphill or gliding downhill, the PEAK⁶ retains its shape and delivers unmatched stability. Teaching

The PEAK has become essential for kite schools, especially for light wind lessons. With the kite airborne, you can start teaching basic techniques in as little as 5 knots, allowing students to wear a harness from the very first minute. This approach significantly boosts lesson success rates. Introducing students to water sports has never been easier for instructors. Once the student gains control, the PEAK is also ideal for practicing water starts in shallow waters. 

Foiling

For dedicated surf-foilers, we recommend the HYBRID. If you‘re looking to maximize light wind sessions with a large hydrofoil, the PEAK is the ideal choice. However, it‘s important to acknowledge that the PEAK‘s water relaunch capabilities are limited. We encourage open discussion on best practices for safe usage and optimizing performance in these conditions.

Flysurfer Connect3 Bar:

The CONNECT3 Control Bar is designed for durability and versatility, all- owing you to switch easily between Frontline Safety and the B-Safe 5-line system. It offers 14m or 21m flying line options to suit various conditions and ensures reliable performance with a secure, non-slip EVA bar grip. The color-coded bar stick, available in sizes [S] 47 cm, [M] 55 cm, and [L] 60 cm, clearly distinguishes left/right and front/back for quick orientation.

The control bar‘s 45 cm depower line suits our low to medium aspec ratio foil kites and is easily reachable if the rider lets go of the bar. You can add another 20 cm depower range, by using the adjuster.

Compatible with the PEAK and HYBRID kites, the CONNECT3 features a 4-line system that can convert to a 5-line setup with the B-Safe system. The SMART Quick Release is AFNOR approved and ISO compliant, ensuring fast and secure activation with wet sand or under freezing temperatures across land, water, and snow.

Robust, Colorcoded CONNECT3 Bar Stick

• Built with high-grade materials to endure harsh alpine weather and prolon- ged sun exposure. The color coding ensures quick orientation for left/right and front/back distinctions.

Longlasting Depower Line covered by woven Dyneema

• A special-coated Depower Line, protected by woven Dyneema, reduces ab- rasion and ensures smooth, frictionless steering and depowering.

Reconfigured B-Safe Line

• Redesigned for visibility and durability, the B-Safe Line minimizes tangling and drag. It includes a built-in adjuster to compensate for line shrinkage over time.

Ozone Short Safety Leash V2:
Ozone Short Safety Leash V2 on lyhyt turvaleash pikalaukaisulla, joka toimii kaikkien leijojen kanssa. Ei roiku häiritsevästi, joten passaa hyvin rentoon freerideen niin kesällä kuin talvella. Ottaa laukaistaessa heti tehon pois leijasta.

Ozone Connect Backcountry V4 Harness:

Ozone Connect Backcountry V4 on erittäin suosittu takamaastoihin ja retkileijahiihtoon suunniteltu kevyt ja kompakti leijahiihtovaljas. Tässä valjaassa ei ole perinteistä koukkua, vaan chicken loop pujotetaan valjaan lenkkiin. Pakkautuu reppuun, ei paina juuri mitään (n. 670 g), eivätkä vie tilaa kuten koukulliset valjaat. Erinomaiset mm. ahkion vetämiseen tunturissa.  Nämä leijavaljaat sopivat mainiosti kaikenlaiseen lumileijailuun niin tunturissa kuin järven jäällä. Enempi hyppiville ja pomppiville talvileijailijoille suositellaan kuitenkin koukullista valjasta.

Valjaiden lantiovyössä on naarassoljet, johon saa kiinnitettyä Ozone Snow Kite Technical Mountain Bagin. Samainen reppu on Frenzyssä, Summitissa (2015 ja uudemmat), Blizzardissa ja Subzerossa. Accessin hieman simppelimpi reppu ei sovi suoraan solkiin.
